The Grinder S2 is Oxford's most formidable U-lock, engineered specifically to defeat angle grinder attacks — the weapon of choice for determined bike thieves. At its core is a 16mm hardened steel shackle coated with a unique faceted carbide surface that deflects grinder blades from edge to edge, rapidly destroying discs and dramatically slowing any theft attempt. On average, it takes 15 angle-grinder discs to cut through just one side of the shackle.

The S2 goes further than the S1 with its advanced anti-disc cutter coating, making it one of the most attack-resistant U-locks independently tested and certified to Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Pedal Cycle Diamond — the highest possible rating.

A high-security double-locking mechanism prevents shackle rotation, so thieves must cut through both sides to gain access. A silicone coating on the shackle and body protects your bike's finish, while a self-sealing keyway cover keeps out water and debris for reliable everyday use.
