Merlin Flux Heated Body Warmer Vest
Merlin Flux Heated Down Bodywarmer
The Merlin Flux Heated Down Bodywarmer delivers targeted warmth to your core while maintaining a lightweight, low-bulk profile that is ideal for layering. Combining 650 fill power white duck down insulation with integrated micro carbon heating panels, the Flux is designed to provide efficient warmth when temperatures drop, whether you're riding the bike or enjoying time off it.
The sleeveless design reduces bulk around the arms, allowing unrestricted movement and making the Flux an ideal mid-layer beneath a motorcycle jacket. Its stretch fleece side panels provide additional flexibility, while the brushed fleece-lined collar adds comfort around the neck.
Powered by Merlin's heated technology, the Flux features four integrated heating panels positioned across the chest and back. Three selectable heat settings allow the level of warmth to be adjusted to suit the conditions, while the 12V/7.4V dual-voltage controller provides compatibility with different power configurations.
Part of Merlin's interconnected heated garment system, the Flux can link with compatible ThermaVolt and Kinetic garments, including jackets, trousers and socks, allowing multiple garments to work together as part of a connected heated system.

650 Fill Power Down Insulation
The Flux combines a lightweight 90/10 white duck down and feather filling with a stitched baffle construction to help retain warmth.
With a 650 fill power rating, the insulation provides efficient warmth while keeping the bodywarmer suitable for use as a mid-layer beneath a motorcycle jacket.
Integrated Carbon Heating
For additional warmth, the Flux features micro carbon heating panels integrated into four key areas:
-
2 × Chest heating panels
-
2 × Back heating panels
The heating system is designed to provide targeted warmth around the rider's core, making it particularly useful during colder rides and when temperatures drop.
Three Heat Settings
The Merlin branded control unit allows you to select from three different heating levels, giving you control over the amount of warmth produced.
Approximate battery operating times are:
-
Low: 4.5 hours
-
Medium: 3.5 hours
-
High: 2.25 hours
Battery life will vary depending on conditions and whether the bodywarmer is connected to other heated devices.
12V / 7.4V Dual-Voltage System
The Flux uses a 12V/7.4V dual-voltage controller, with the 12V system designed to provide faster and more powerful heating.
An easy-connect plug inside the bodywarmer allows it to be connected to compatible motorcycle clothing and power systems.
Interconnected Heated Clothing System
The Flux forms part of Merlin's interconnected heated garment system. Its design allows compatible garments to be linked together, creating a connected system across multiple layers.
The bodywarmer can connect with compatible Merlin ThermaVolt and Kinetic garments, including:
-
Heated jackets
-
Heated trousers
-
Heated socks
This makes the Flux a versatile option for riders looking to build a complete heated clothing setup for colder conditions.
Lightweight Layering Design
The sleeveless construction helps reduce bulk around the arms, making it easier to wear underneath a motorcycle jacket without restricting movement.
The stretch fleece side body panels provide additional flexibility, while the tailored mid-layer fit allows the Flux to sit comfortably beneath outer riding gear.
The bodywarmer is equally suited to use away from the motorcycle, making it a versatile cold-weather layer for everyday wear.
Pockets & Practical Features
The Flux provides useful storage for everyday essentials, including:
-
Two lower zipped front pockets
-
Two zipped chest pockets with reflective piping
-
Internal battery storage pocket
Reflective piping is also incorporated down the front zip for additional visibility.
