The Merlin Bednell CE2 Heated D3O Motorcycle Gloves are designed to keep your hands warm, dry and protected when riding through cold winter conditions. Combining premium leather construction with battery-powered heated technology, waterproof protection and CE Level 2 motorcycle protection, the Bednell provides a practical solution for riders who refuse to let cold weather stop them riding.

Part of the Merlin ThermaVolt Heated Collection, the Bednell uses the same battery-powered heating technology found in the Minworth II and Curborough heated gloves. Three selectable heat settings allow you to adjust the warmth to suit the conditions, controlled conveniently from the cuff-mounted controller.

The gloves feature a Hipora® waterproof and breathable membrane, Thinsulate® insulation, a soft-touch microfleece lining and a warm Sherpa-lined cuff. Combined with a premium leather upper and Amara palm overlay panels, the Bednell is designed to provide warmth, comfort and protection throughout the winter riding season.

For protection, the Bednell features D3O® knuckle impact protectors and achieves CE EN13594:2015 Level 2 KP certification, providing a high level of certified impact and abrasion protection.

Battery-Powered Heated Technology

The Bednell Heated Gloves feature an integrated battery-powered heating system designed to provide additional warmth in cold riding conditions.

Once the batteries have been charged, they can be placed into the discreet zipped battery storage pockets inside the cuffs. The cuff-mounted controller provides three temperature settings, allowing you to select the level of heat required.

An integrated battery indicator light allows you to monitor the remaining battery level.

Three Heat Settings

• High: Up to approximately 70°C

• Medium: Up to approximately 59°C

• Low: Up to approximately 48°C

Actual heating temperature and battery performance can vary depending on external wind conditions and ambient temperature.

Rechargeable Batteries Included

The Bednell comes supplied with two 7.4V 2200mAh rechargeable batteries, along with a dual USB charger.

The batteries have an approximate 4.5-hour charging time and offer the following claimed operating times:

Waterproof & Winter Protection

The Bednell is designed specifically for cold and wet-weather riding. A Hipora® waterproof and breathable membrane helps keep rain and moisture out while allowing moisture vapour to escape.

Additional insulation comes from Thinsulate®, with 180g on the back of the hand, plus 2oz foam and 100g insulation on the palm.

The gloves also feature a soft-touch microfleece lining and a Sherpa-lined cuff, providing additional warmth and a comfortable feel against the skin.
