ROOF Motorcycle Helmet Size Guide

Not sure what size ROOF motorcycle helmet you need? Measure around your head just above your eyebrows, then compare your measurement with the ROOF helmet size chart below.

This guide covers ROOF motorcycle helmets including the Boxer V8, Boxxer, Boxxer 2, Boxxer Carbon, Boxxer 2 Carbon, RO200, RO200 Carbon, Desmo, Roadster and Bamboo ranges.

ROOF Motorcycle Helmet Size Chart

Helmet Size Head Circumference
XS 54 cm
S 56 cm
SM / MS 57 cm
M 58 cm
ML* 59 cm
L 60 cm
XL 61 cm
XXL / 2XL 63 cm

Please note: ROOF uses individual centimetre measurements rather than the usual two-centimetre size ranges. The SM size is sometimes labelled MS.

*ML at 59 cm is an additional size used on selected RO200 and RO200 Carbon helmets. It is not part of the standard Boxxer sizing chart.

Not every ROOF helmet is manufactured in every size shown. Always check the available sizes for your chosen model.

How to Measure Your Head for a ROOF Helmet

You'll need a flexible tape measure. If you haven't got one, a piece of string and a ruler will do.

  1. Wrap the tape around the widest part of your head, approximately 2 cm above your eyebrows and just above your ears.
  2. Keep the tape level around the back of your head.
  3. Hold it comfortably snug without pulling it tight.
  4. Read your head circumference in centimetres and compare it with the ROOF size chart above.

Measure twice to make sure you've got it right.

How Should a ROOF Motorcycle Helmet Fit?

A ROOF helmet should feel snug and secure without causing painful pressure around your forehead or temples.

The internal padding should make even contact with your head. The helmet shouldn't move around independently when you turn your head.

With the chin strap fastened, gently move the helmet from side to side and forwards and backwards. It should remain securely positioned.

Remember that the comfort padding can settle slightly with use, so a helmet that's already loose when new isn't a good starting point.

If your head measurement falls between two sizes, try the neighbouring sizes wherever possible. The correct fit matters more than the letter on the label.

Do ROOF Boxxer and RO200 Helmets Fit the Same?

The ROOF Boxxer and RO200 ranges use similar head circumference measurements, but they are very different helmets.

The Boxxer range is best known for its distinctive 180-degree rotating chin bar, while the RO200 range consists of full-face sports helmets.

The RO200 range also includes an additional ML size at 59 cm on selected models.

Different shell shapes, internal padding and cheek pads can affect the fit, even when the published head circumference measurement is the same.

If you've previously owned a ROOF helmet, don't assume another model will feel identical simply because it has the same size label.
