Premier Motorcycle Helmet Size Guide

Not sure what size Premier motorcycle helmet you need? Measure around your head just above your eyebrows, then find your helmet model in the size charts below.

Important: Premier helmets don't all use the same sizing measurements. A Large in one model can be a different size from a Large in another, so make sure you're looking at the correct chart.

Premier Motorcycle Helmet Size Charts

Premier Hyper and Devil Helmet Size Chart

This chart covers the Premier Hyper and Devil ranges, including the Hyper 06 and Devil 06.

Helmet Size Head Circumference
XS 53–54 cm
S 55–56 cm
M 57 cm
M+* 58 cm
L 59 cm
XL 60 cm
XXL / 2XL 61 cm

*Some published Premier charts include an additional M+ size at 58 cm. It isn't listed on every version of the manufacturer's chart, so check whether it's offered for your particular helmet.

These measurements differ from conventional helmet sizing. In the Hyper and Devil ranges, XL corresponds to 60 cm rather than the 61–62 cm found in many other brands.

Premier Trophy Helmet Size Chart

The Premier Trophy range, including Trophy Platinum and Trophy 06 versions, uses a more compact sizing system.

Helmet Size Head Circumference
XS 53–54 cm
S 55–56 cm
M 57 cm
L 58 cm
XL 59 cm

For example, a 59 cm head measurement corresponds to XL in the Trophy range but Large in the Premier Hyper and Devil ranges.

Premier Rocker Helmet Size Chart

The Premier Rocker and Rocker Visor open-face helmets have their own published sizing measurements.

Helmet Size Head Circumference
XS 54 cm
S 55 cm
M 57 cm
L 58 cm
XL 59 cm

These are the published Rocker measurements. Because this is an older helmet design, check the size information supplied with your particular version.

Premier X-Trail and Dokker Helmet Size Chart

Published charts for the Premier X-Trail and Dokker ranges use the following measurements:

Helmet Size Head Circumference
XS 53–54 cm
S 55–56 cm
M 57–58 cm
L 59 cm
XL 60 cm
XXL / 2XL 61 cm

This includes the published X-Trail sizing used for earlier versions of the model. If you're choosing an X-Trail XT 2, check the sizing information supplied with that particular helmet before ordering.

Premier Evoluzione, Typhoon, Legacy GT and Other Models

Several Premier helmets use the more conventional adult sizing measurements shown below.

This chart covers:

  • Premier Evoluzione 06
  • Premier Typhoon 06
  • Premier Legacy GT 06
  • Premier JT5
  • Premier Streetfighter
  • Premier Discovery
  • Premier Vyrus
  • Premier Exige 06 (XS to XL)
Helmet Size Head Circumference
XS 53–54 cm
S 55–56 cm
M 57–58 cm
L 59–60 cm
XL 61–62 cm
XXL / 2XL 63–64 cm

Please note: Not every model is manufactured in every size shown. The Exige 06, for example, has a published size chart ending at XL.

Premier Vintage 06 and Classic 06 Size Chart

The Premier Vintage 06 and Classic 06 have another sizing arrangement, with smaller centimetre measurements for the larger letter sizes.

Helmet Size Head Circumference
XS 53–54 cm
S 55–56 cm
M 57 cm
L 58 cm
XL 59 cm
XXL / 2XL 60–61 cm
XXXL / 3XL 62–63 cm

These measurements apply to the 06 versions. Earlier Vintage and Classic helmets can use different size charts, so check which version you have.

How to Measure Your Head for a Premier Helmet

You'll need a flexible tape measure. If you haven't got one, a piece of string and a ruler will do.

  1. Wrap the tape around the widest part of your head, approximately 2–2.5 cm above your eyebrows and just above your ears.
  2. Keep the tape level around the back of your head.
  3. Hold it comfortably snug without pulling it tight.
  4. Read your head circumference in centimetres.
  5. Find your particular Premier model in the charts above and compare the measurement.

Measure twice to make sure you've got it right.

How Should a Premier Motorcycle Helmet Fit?

A Premier helmet should feel snug and secure without causing painful pressure around your forehead or temples.

The internal padding should make even contact with your head. On full-face models, the cheek pads should feel firm against your face without causing discomfort.

With the chin strap fastened, gently move the helmet from side to side and forwards and backwards. It should move with your head rather than sliding around independently.

Remember that helmet comfort padding can settle slightly with use. A helmet that's already loose when new is unlikely to get any better.

If you're between two sizes, try both wherever possible. The correct fit matters more than the letter on the label.

For further advice, read our guide to dealing with a tight motorcycle helmet.

Do Premier Helmets All Fit the Same?

No. Premier uses different head circumference measurements across its helmet range.

For example, a 60 cm head measurement corresponds to XL in the Premier Hyper and Devil, but Large in the Evoluzione and Typhoon ranges.

Different shell shapes, internal padding and cheek pads can also affect how a helmet feels, even when the measurements are the same.

If you've previously owned a Premier helmet, don't assume another model will fit identically simply because it has the same letter size.
