Important: These are the manufacturer's hand width and hand length measurements, not hand circumference. Hand width is measured straight across the palm, excluding the thumb. Hand length is measured from the wrist crease to the tip of your longest finger.

Not every Halvarssons glove is manufactured in every size shown.

How to Measure Your Hands for Halvarssons Gloves

You'll need a ruler or tape measure.

  1. Hand width: Lay your hand flat with your fingers together. Measure straight across the widest part of your palm, excluding your thumb.
  2. Hand length: Measure from the crease at your wrist to the tip of your longest finger.
  3. Check both hands: One hand may be slightly larger than the other.
  4. Find your size: Compare your measurements with the Halvarssons glove size chart above.

If your hand width and length suggest different sizes, try the neighbouring sizes wherever possible. Getting the fit right is more important than simply choosing the nearest number.

How Should Halvarssons Motorcycle Gloves Fit?

Your Halvarssons gloves should feel snug without restricting your fingers or creating uncomfortable pressure across your knuckles.

When trying them on, check that:

  • Your fingers reach comfortably towards the ends without being tightly pressed against them.
  • You can comfortably grip your motorcycle's handlebars.
  • The gloves don't pull excessively across your knuckles when you make a fist.
  • Any protective knuckle armour sits in the correct position.
  • The wrist fastening holds the gloves securely in place.

Leather gloves may soften slightly with use, but you shouldn't rely on them stretching enough to correct an unsuitable size.

Do Halvarssons Waterproof and Winter Gloves Fit Differently?

Halvarssons uses the same general numbered sizing system across its motorcycle glove range, although the actual fit can feel different depending on the materials and construction.

Summer leather gloves are often thinner and more flexible, while waterproof touring and winter gloves may have additional membranes or thermal insulation.

Models such as the Oleby, Tihola and Duved use different constructions, so don't assume they'll feel identical simply because the size number is the same.

If you intend to wear separate thermal undergloves, try both together before deciding on your size.
