Duchinni Helmet Size Chart

Not sure what size Duchinni motorcycle helmet you need? Measure around the widest part of your head, approximately 2.5 cm above your eyebrows, then compare your measurement with the Duchinni helmet size chart below. A correctly fitted motorcycle helmet should feel snug and secure without causing painful pressure points or moving excessively.

Duchinni Motorcycle Helmet Size Chart

Use the following Duchinni helmet size chart to find your starting size based on your head circumference. Measurements are in centimetres and cover sizes XS to 2XL (XXL).

Helmet Size Head Circumference
XS 53–54 cm
S 55–56 cm
M 57–58 cm
L 59–60 cm
XL 61–62 cm
2XL / XXL 63–64 cm

These measurements are taken from the Duchinni size chart supplied for this guide. Use them as a starting point and check the sizing information for your particular helmet model before ordering.

How to Measure Your Head for a Duchinni Helmet

You'll need a flexible tape measure, preferably the type used for sewing. If you don't have one, a piece of string and a ruler will do the job.

  1. Position the tape: Wrap it around your head approximately 2.5 cm (1 inch) above your eyebrows, passing above your ears and around the back of your head.
  2. Find the widest point: Make sure you're measuring around the widest part of your head.
  3. Keep the tape level: It should sit flat against your head without being pulled too tightly.
  4. Record your measurement: Note the circumference in centimetres.
  5. Measure again: Repeat the process two or three times to make sure your measurement is accurate.
  6. Check the size chart: Compare your measurement with the Duchinni helmet sizes above.

If possible, ask someone to help you measure. It's easy to position the tape incorrectly when you're doing it yourself.

How Should a Duchinni Motorcycle Helmet Fit?

A properly fitted Duchinni motorcycle helmet should feel firm around your head and cheeks without causing pain. It should stay securely in position when you move your head.

When trying on a helmet, check the following:

  • Forehead and temples: The lining should make even contact without creating painful pressure points.
  • Cheek pads: These should feel snug against your cheeks, particularly when the helmet is new.
  • Crown: There shouldn't be noticeable gaps between your head and the helmet's internal lining.
  • Movement: With the chin strap fastened, gently move the helmet from side to side and up and down. It should grip your head rather than slide around.
  • Comfort: Wear the helmet indoors for a while to check whether uncomfortable pressure develops.

Remember that two motorcycle helmets marked Medium won't necessarily fit identically. Different internal shapes and padding can make a noticeable difference.

What If You're Between Two Duchinni Helmet Sizes?

If your head measurement falls between two sizes, try both where possible. The correct size depends on how the helmet fits your head, not simply the measurement printed on the label.

A helmet should feel snug without causing pain. The comfort padding may settle slightly with regular use, but the protective EPS liner isn't designed to compress to accommodate an incorrectly sized helmet.

Don't automatically choose a larger helmet because it feels more comfortable when first tried on. Equally, don't force yourself into a helmet that causes painful pressure points.

How Do You Know If Your Duchinni Helmet Is Too Big?

A motorcycle helmet may be too large if it moves independently of your head, feels loose around your cheeks or slides on with very little resistance.

With the chin strap fastened, gently try moving the helmet forwards, backwards and from side to side. If it shifts excessively, the size or internal shape may not be suitable.

Remember that the comfort padding can settle further with use, so a helmet that's already loose when new isn't a good starting point.

How Do You Know If Your Duchinni Helmet Is Too Small?

A helmet that's too small may cause painful pressure around your forehead, temples or the sides of your head.

Some initial firmness is normal, especially around the cheeks, but persistent pain or uncomfortable pressure isn't something you should simply put up with.

Can You Wear Glasses With a Duchinni Helmet?

Many riders wear spectacles with their motorcycle helmets, although comfort depends on the particular Duchinni model, the shape of your glasses and your head.

Try the helmet with your usual glasses wherever possible. Check that the arms don't create uncomfortable pressure around your temples.

Duchinni Helmet Sizing FAQs

Are Duchinni motorcycle helmets true to size?

Duchinni helmets use the size measurements shown in the chart above, but the fit can vary depending on the helmet model and your head shape. Always use the chart as a starting point rather than a guarantee of fit.

What size Duchinni helmet do I need for a 58 cm head?

According to the size chart above, a head circumference of 58 cm corresponds to a Medium Duchinni helmet. You should still try the helmet on to confirm the fit.

Should a new Duchinni helmet feel tight?

A new Duchinni helmet should feel snug and secure, particularly around the cheeks, but it shouldn't cause pain or uncomfortable pressure points.

Do Duchinni helmets loosen over time?

The comfort padding may compress slightly with use, but the protective EPS liner shouldn't be expected to change shape to accommodate your head.

Do all Duchinni helmets fit the same?

Not necessarily. Different helmet models can have different internal shapes and padding arrangements. Always check the relevant sizing information and try the helmet on where possible.

Can I return a Duchinni helmet if it doesn't fit?

If your helmet doesn't fit, contact RaceLeathers before using it on a motorcycle. Try it on carefully indoors, keep all packaging and labels, and refer to our returns policy for the applicable conditions and your statutory rights.
