Advanced Polycarbonate Construction

The i80 features an Advanced Polycarbonate Compound (APC) shell, created by blending high-grade polycarbonate with ABS in an optimal ratio. This construction provides excellent impact resistance while keeping the helmet lightweight and comfortable for long-distance adventure riding.

Modular Adventure Versatility

Combining the protection of a full-face helmet with the convenience of an open-face design, the i80’s chin bar can be flipped up to suit changing riding conditions. Ride fully enclosed for maximum protection or flip the chin bar up when stationary or riding at lower speeds. The removable peak visor allows the helmet to be configured for adventure riding or converted to a more aerodynamic road setup.

Advanced Ventilation Performance

HJC’s Advanced Channeling Ventilation System (ACS) uses top vents and two-step lower vents to create full front-to-back airflow. This system effectively flushes heat and humidity out of the helmet, helping maintain comfort during demanding adventure rides.

Visor and Sun Shield System

The i80 is equipped with a Pinlock® ready HJ-44 visor, providing 99 % UV protection and an anti-scratch coating. A dark smoke internal sun shield comes pre-installed for instant glare protection. The peak visor has been wind tunnel tested and refined using advanced CFD technology to ensure stability and reduced drag, even at higher speeds.

Comfortable Interior and Fit

The interior features moisture-wicking materials and 3D contour cheek pads for enhanced comfort and stability. Crown and cheek pads are fully removable and washable, with cheek pads interchangeable across all sizes. Integrated glasses grooves provide a comfortable fit for riders who wear eyewear.

Safety and Practical Features

Supplied with both a Pinlock® insert and chin curtain as standard, the i80 offers improved comfort and protection straight out of the box. A micro buckle fastening system provides secure, quick-release operation, and the helmet is backed by a manufacturer’s warranty of up to three years from the date of purchase.
