Aerodynamic Performance

The aerodynamic shape allows riders to stay focused even at extreme speeds. The shell has been meticulously refined through over 150 design adjustments in SHOEI’s wind tunnel, achieving the highest level of aerodynamic stability and balance. Compared to its predecessor, the X-SPR Pro offers significantly improved drag reduction and head stability.

The newly developed rear stabiliser channels air through the upper left and right tunnels, expelling it through the back of the stabiliser and flap. This creates a balanced aerodynamic profile that enhances stability. Pronounced upper edges and a concave stabiliser surface contribute to this performance while maintaining a distinct and aggressive design. These innovations were achieved through close collaboration between SHOEI’s development, production, and testing teams.

Shield System

The CWR-F2R shield delivers an expanded upper field of vision, ideal for racing motorcycles at extreme lean angles. MotoGP riders, including world champion Marc Marquez, praise the improved visual range. The central locking mechanism ensures a secure seal, reducing wind noise and preventing unwanted visor lift even in high-speed or wet conditions.

The double-lock system prevents accidental shield release in the event of an impact, while the redesigned trigger lock mechanism reinforces visor stability. The PINLOCK® pins and tear-off buttons are placed outside the rider’s main field of vision, allowing for a wider, clearer view even with the PINLOCK® EVO lens installed.

Perfect Fit and Performance

The modular interior system has been upgraded for greater personalisation. The independently adjustable centre pad can be fine-tuned at the front, rear, and sides to achieve a truly custom fit. Cheek pads now offer a 16.5% larger contact area and feature dual-angle adjustment, enhancing security and comfort even at speeds over 350 km/h.

Ventilation

The X-SPR Pro features a racing-optimised ventilation layout, delivering maximum cooling in a tucked riding position. The upper intake has four intake holes, while six outlet vents – including two in the rear stabiliser – provide exceptional exhaust performance. This setup ensures superior airflow compared to its predecessor.

The improved cheek ventilation system doubles the number of internal vents, dramatically increasing air circulation and rider comfort during long, intense races.

Liner

The multi-piece EPS liner combines layers of varying hardness to effectively absorb impact while maintaining shell rigidity. Integrated air channels between layers efficiently remove heat and moisture, maintaining comfort and protection under extreme riding conditions.

Hydration

The chin bar interior is shaped to accommodate a hydration system. An optional hydration kit (currently under development) will help racers maintain focus during endurance and midsummer races, ensuring peak performance and concentration.
