Designed and manufactured using SCHUBERTH’s most advanced processes, the S3 Carbon brings Formula 1 technology directly to the road.

Formula 1 Carbon Construction

The 100% carbon fibre shell of the S3 Carbon is produced using the same lamination and autoclave curing processes used for SCHUBERTH’s Formula 1 and motorsport helmets. Even more importantly, each shell is handmade by the same highly specialised technicians responsible for producing helmets for the current Formula 1 World Champion.

One Man, One Shell

The manufacturing philosophy behind the S3 Carbon follows the “One Man, One Shell” principle. This means the same specialist technician who begins the carbon lamination process completes the entire shell, ensuring absolute consistency, precision, and quality control throughout production.

After lamination, each carbon mould is vacuum-wrapped and cured inside SCHUBERTH PERFORMANCE autoclaves. A proprietary combination of pressure and temperature over a cycle of up to four hours transforms the carbon layers into a single monolithic structure, delivering outstanding mechanical strength and lightweight performance.

Race-Grade Safety and Retention

At SCHUBERTH, safety is always the primary focus. The S3 Carbon raises the bar with a monocoque carbon fibre shell and full compliance with ECE-R 22.06 regulations.

The helmet is secured using a Double-D ring chinstrap, the same retention system used in MotoGP and Formula 1. Manufactured from a magnesium-aluminium alloy, this system provides maximum safety with minimal weight.

Advanced Impact Absorption and Interior Comfort

The S3 Carbon features a newly developed dual-density EPS liner, with separate densities in the main and side impact zones. This enhances shock absorption while increasing internal head cavity for improved comfort.

The seamless interior lining is produced using premium Italian fabrics and is OEKO-TEX® 100 certified. All interior components are fully removable, washable, and optimised for long-distance sport touring.

Aerodynamics, Noise Control, and Ventilation

A multi-channel ventilation system ensures efficient airflow throughout the helmet while integrated insect protection keeps air intakes clear.

Visor System and Visibility

The S3 Carbon is equipped with a distortion-free Class 1 visor to ensure perfect optical clarity. A City Position mechanism improves low-speed visibility, while the integrated sun visor provides adaptability in changing light conditions.

Communication System – Important Information

The Schuberth S3 Carbon is READY FOR COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS but does NOT include a communication unit as standard.

Speakers, cable harness, radio antenna, and microphone are pre-installed inside the helmet, allowing compatible SCHUBERTH communication systems (SC2, SC2 Standard, and SC Edge) to be fitted in under 20 seconds.

The communication system must be purchased separately.
